Saturday’s Hollywood Card
Friday Nights card kept me up late last night so I’m a little behind. I had a couple of little winners. I got off the one I loved last time he ran in No Ka Oi who came back to win easily last night. I did get a little lucky wheeling the Skimming horse at even money in the 6th and getting a 48/1 horse to run second. That almost paid for the night, but not quite. I’ll be brief today to try to get some picks out on time.
In the first I’ll try the 4 year old Isle of Japan at a little bit of a price. Kaffeinator’s got a good shot however after losing when Joel Rosario lost his whip last out. Ramon Dominguez gets the mount today and he’ll be tough. I’ll Buzzin Mon with them and the three are tough to seperate. A tri box looks to be in order here.
In the 2nd I’ll go with Time Tosay Goodbye at a little price. She’s got a win and a place over the Hollywood Park Cushion Track. Steppin Out Rose will be pretty tough, and i’ll use 3 year old Crown of Diamonds with them.
The Jim Murray Handicap is a Grade iI with a $250,000 purse and I like Bobby Frankel to sweep it with Champs Elysees and Sudan. Sudan didn’t run well in his North American Debute but I look for improvement 2nd time out. Champs Elysees is 3/5 on the morning line making the race almost unbetable. I’ll try Sudan with Church Service and On The Acorn as a little flyer but can bet much against Champs Elysees.
In the fourth race I’ll tie up Common Trust with YmustIchasethecat.
In the fifth I’ll use Shamdinan with Ron Bob and Dave, and Tybalt.
Race 6 I’ll go for Tizsweetdreams with Modification and Celtic Rose
In the Grade III Senorita I’ll take Sweeter Still with Magical Fantasy and Bel Air Sizzle
I like Taint That A Cat in the 8th with Smart Hit and Spot the Diplomat.
I’ll take Street Boss with Bilo and Doppio in the Los Angeles Handicap.
I’ll bet Buck Basolo with River Lord in the Last.
