Big Brown Closer to Triple Crown
It’s back to Hollywood Park today after yesterday’s Preakness Stakes. There wasn’t much point in betting Big Brown straight. I did put together some wheels, and caught a $40.00 winner in the 10th on a pick 3 part wheel that paid for the day with a $415 pick 3. The Daily Double wheels I bet didn’t pan out, and I didn’t catch the trifecta even though I had a few shots at it I didn’t use the 2nd or 3rd place finishers.
Big Brown looked like the monster me and everyone else though he was yesterday. Kent Desourmeax sat chilly on him all the way around. He saved ground early then moved outside to make his move. He never showed Big Brown the stick and once he gets the lead he turns finds another gear. Desormeax said before the race he was going to gear him down when knew he had it. I guarentee he knew in the middle of the backstretch. If that is geared down it’s going to be interesting to see what happens when and if he’s ever challenged.
I’m a little late getting started today and won’t do a full post, but I like a couple I’m going to bet. Salute the Sarge in the 8th I’ll use Stettler with Ready Mode and Warm N” Toasty in the 6th and I’ll use No Ka Oi in the 7th.
